Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz (Wii, 2006)
Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz is one of the launch titles for the system and I also think that this should be in everyone's collection who has a Wii. Not only does the game have a compelling and lengthy single-player campaign, it also features a number of mini-games, some good -- some not so good. Overall, the game is a very good showcase of all the things that the Wii is capable of.

Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Wii, 2006)
...one of the Wii launch titles that truely has a unique premise to it. It's a "Wiimake" of an older DS game, and as such not everything is as fresh as it could be, but new artwork and gameplay elements make up for it being a rehash of an older version.

...this is the obligatory World War 2-themed first person shooter that is always present in a US console launch lineup. While it is better than the other FPS available for the Wii, the short length and clunky controls relegate this one to rental status.

Elebits combines puzzle solving, physics, and good old-fashioned fun into a very unique game for the Wii -- just don't even think about playing it if you get motion sickness!

Alien Hominid HD (Xbox Live Arcade, 2007)
This sidescrolling arcade shooter for the Xbox Live Arcade gives plenty of bang for your buck, but patience at the unforgiving difficulty costs extra!

Enchanted Arms (Xbox 360, 2006)
Only serious Japanese-style Role Playing game fans should consider picking up this game, all others will be simultaneously bored and frustrated to death!

Jetpac Refuelled (Xbox Live Arcade, 2007)
The greatest remake of the greatest Sprecrum ZX you've ever played. Never played a Spectrum ZX game before, you say? Doesn't matter -- the gameplay has aged gracefully.

Nintendo's newest Mario spinoff is breaking new boundaries again: this time it's the 2D / 3D barrier! This one is not to be missed by any serious Wii owner.

This throwback to games like Atari's classic Asteroids looks stunning at full 1080p resolution, and it's plays pretty good to boot!

Poor framerates, laughable voice acting, and every cliche in the book all hinder this game from being passable, but hardcore fans will do good to give the game a chance: it's might be a diamond in the rough if you can look past the flaws.

Project Sylpheed (Xbox 360, 2007)
Decent Space Combat games are few and far between -- Square Enix's attempt mixed gorgeous CG cutscenes with merely average combat that will turn away all but the most ravenous of flight sim fans.
